Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring Miguel Almiron and the Paraguayan has admitted that it is an honor to be linked with such a prestigious club.
Miguel Almiron has been a resounding success for Newcastle United in the Premier League. After becoming the club’s record by in January this year, the midfielder showed why he is considered a potential star of the future.
Currently at Copa America, his eye catching displays have further attracted interest. Reportedly, Real Madrid scouts have been monitoring the stylish midfielder. Now, reports suggest that the Toon might have a fight on their hands as they look to hold on to their new star.
With Rafael Benitez gone and the Magpies not looking to invest in the squad this summer, Miguel Almiron may be attracted by a move to a club where such problems are non-existent.
The former Atlanta United man has responded to reports linking him with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. As reported by the Daily Star, Miguel Almiron says that he’s not aware of anything but admits that he feels honoured to be noticed by such a big time.
“For me it is an honour that a team like Real Madrid notice me,” he said.
“But I’m not aware of anything and now I’m focused on the Copa America and then at Newcastle.”
While Miguel Almiron has not hinted at moving away from Newcastle United, the club’s problems are such that he may reassess his options.
Real Madrid on the other hand, have been very busy in the summer transfer market. Los Blancos have already signed five players. The likes of Eder Militao, Eden Hazard, Ferland Menday, Rodrygo and Luka Jovic have already arrived and more are likely to come.
The club is also interested in Paul Pogba whose situation at Manchester United is complicated to say the least.
