Tiemoue Bakayoko suggests he is open to making a return to AC Milan in making an admission of his fondness for the club.
Talks of Tiemoue Bakayoko’s potential exit from Chelsea have intensified in the past few weeks.
Bakayoko arrived at Stamford Bridge from Monaco back in 2017. But he struggled to make a name for himself and was hence sent out on loan spells, first at AC Milan and then at AS Monaco last season.
The 25-year-old still has two years left on his Chelsea contract, but the club are willing to cut ties with him with the target of raising funds for their summer transfer plans.
Reports suggest AC Milan are interested in signing him. Sky Sports recently claimed that talks between the two clubs are in progress, with the Serie A side putting forward a loan offer for €3 million with an option to buy him for €35 million.
In a recent interview with Tuttomercatoweb, the French midfielder was asked to provide clarity on the speculations linking him back to San Siro.
“Everyone knows that Milan are in my heart and I have excellent memories,” Bakayoko replied.
“At the moment I’m a Chelsea player. Then in football, we’ll have to wait and see.”
