AC Milan is in a real identity crisis with the team seemingly lacking quality to fight for the Champions League spots this season.
The latest incoming transfers didn’t make the difference Milan thought they would.
Rafael Leao’s talent didn’t shine through, and now the team is sitting down in 12th in the Serie A.
This time around, Maldini and Boban set their sights on Madrid’s gem.
Brahim Diaz moved to Spain in January of 2019. He played some good minutes under Zinedine Zidane in the previous season, too.
However, Diaz fell out of favor after his injury at the start of the season.

This, along with strong competition from Rodrygo and Vinicius could see Diaz leave the club in January, a year after joining.
According to Tuttosport via Calciomercato, Milan want to bring in Diaz on loan this winter.
It looks like a win-win situation for both sides involved in the affair.
