Milan has been painted black and blue

Inter Milan defeated AC Milan 3-2 in tonight’s Derby Della Madonnina in the Italian Lega Serie A, as the team climbs to the third position of the table.

Matias Vecino, Stefan de Vrij and Lautaro Martinez, all scored to give Internazionale Milan a 3-2 win over AC Milan in the Derby Della Madoninna.

For the Rossoneri, only Tiemoue Bakayoko and Mateo Musacchio scored, but it was not enough to do well.

“When you play an ugly match and get knocked out of Europa League, and if you don’t understand what happened, you risk bringing that slack from previous games,” Luciano Spalletti said to Gianluca Di Marzio.

“We needed to restore roles and behaviours, bringing it back inside the behaviour of the team.”

“No more thoughts, analysis or diagnosis on what happened in Europa League. The team has drawn a line from our previous match against Eintracht,” he added.

Inter will only focus now on the Italian Lega Serie A, after losing in the Coppa de Italia, and the UEFA Europa League.

The Nerazzurri still have ten matches left to play and try to qualify to the UEFA Champions League.

“You need to say a great job to Lautaro for his penalty. In him we found an attacker that can help us,” Spalletti continued.

“Same to Politano, Perisic. All of them were great and exceeded their challenged. Compliments to those we have inside our locker room.”

Comisso insists Fiorentina is keeping Chiesa

According to Fiorentina president Rocco Comisso, Federico Chiesa will remain at the club after he promised just that before buying the Serie A team.

“It’s helpful to be close to the team. Milan played a good match and had some odds in their favour,” he added.

“Going onto the pitch and playing football wasn’t easy. They played a great match and Gattuso should be happy with their performance. The two teams honoured the beauty of football and the derby.”
