Milivojevic disappointed in draw against Southampton

Crystal Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic is disappointed by the club’s draw against Southampton on Wednesday night.

The Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw at the St. Mary’s Stadium despite taking a first half lead through Wilfried Zaha. James Ward-Prowse equalized for the host in the 71st minute and Milivojevic feels Palace dropped two points.

Speaking after the match, he said, according to the club’s official website:

“I honestly think we dropped points today. There was ten minutes of the game remaining and they scored, it’s 1-1 and even after that we had one very good chance from a corner but looking over the 90 minutes I think we dropped the points.”

Ian Wright explains why Palace lost against Tottenham

According to former Palace striker, Ian Wright, the intensity of the Spurs' players on Saturday helped them get a 4-0 win.

However, the Serbia international also took positives from the game, insisting they were unlucky to have earned only one point.

“The first half we played well,” he said.

“We scored the goal and had some other chances and then [in the] second half they had more of the ball, had more possession but they didn’t create a lot. We defended and tried to counter them and had a few good chances to score a second goal and finish the game but we didn’t.”

“I think our front three players played a very good game today but after we conceded and then the red card we had to settle to take just the point.”
