Football super-agent Mino Raiola has quashed suggestions that Hirving Lozano could be on his way to Chelsea this month.
The PSV Eindhoven winger has attracted interest from a host of clubs around Europe, including Italian clubs AC Milan and Napoli, after scoring 11 goals in the Dutch League this season on the back of his impressive World Cup showings.
Lozano, was a part of Mexico’s 23 man squad to last year’s World Cup in Russia, scoring the only goal as El Tri defeated Germany 1-0 in their opening group game.
Reports in Italy on Thursday evening suggest that the Blues were preparing a £36m bid for the 23-year-old, which they hoped would be enough to bring the player to Stamford Bridge this month.
Raiola has revealed that his client will not be leaving PSV during the January transfer window, however, despite the growing interest in his signature.
“Lozano will stay at PSV until the end of the season,” Raiola said, as quoted by Sports Mole.
“The club doesn’t want to sell him now.”
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are also believed to be interested in the services of Lozano, who still has four-and-a-half years to run on his PSV contract.
