The 22-year-old becomes third addition of the January transfer window for the Dons, who have also completed the signings of Russell Martin and David Wheeler.

“I’m very happy to be here,” Hesketh said, as quoted by Football365.

“I’m looking forward to getting started and giving my best for the team.”

Southampton boss asks the team to produce a perfect performance

The team will play against Watford in the English Premier League, but the Hornets have been very good lately in the competition.

“I’d like to think I can bring some creativity, work-rate and a few goals and assists as well.”

“The team are going for promotion so every goal matters – hopefully, I can contribute in that sense.”

Meanwhile, Southampton remain hopeful of signing Birmingham City forward Che Adams before the close of the January transfer window on Thursday night.

The English man has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Burnley. However, it is believed that Birmingham are keen to retain his services until the end of the season.
