Arsenal have announced that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to return to full training next week

The Armenian playmaker has been sidelined since December 19 after suffering a fractured metatarsal in his right foot during Arsenal’s 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham.

This came following a challenge with Lucas Moura, which forced the former Manchester United player to come off at half-time for Laurent Koscielny.

The Gunners soon broke the news afterwards that the 29-year-old would be sidelined until February.

And now Arsenal have released a positive update on Mkhitaryan’s progress by stating he will return to full training next week

Although it still remains unlikely he will feature in any of the Gunners’ games until next month.
