Henrikh Mkhitaryan has fallen apart with Jose Mourinho and is not part of the Portuguese’s plans at Old Trafford any more.
The Armenian midfielder started the season very well, but has failed to make a single appearance for the club since November 25th, when he played 19 minutes against Birhgton. The last time Mkhitaryan started a match was on the 5th of November, for the match against Chelsea. Lately, the player couldn’t even make the 18-man squad for United’s matches and it looks like his faith is sealed.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mkhitaryan will leave Manchester United in January, once the transfer window opens. Inter Milan and Besiktas Istanbul ae interested in the player’s services. Although Besiktas have made a very good impression in the current Champions League season, winning a group with Monaco, Porto and RB Leipzig, it is expected that Inter will eventually win the battle for the player’s signature.
Mkhitaryan wants to keep playing at a high level in one of the top five leagues in Europe and he would favour a move to Inter if his only other choice would be Besiktas. The Armenia international moved to Manchester United in 2016, having been bought by the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund.
