The Ligue 1 giants are monitoring the situation of Ivan Perisic at Inter Milan where his status as a regular first team player may be in doubt.
Reportedly, Ivan Perisic would become part of Inter Milan’s degreasing operation. The club is keen to accommodate Antonio Conte’s wishes as the former Chelsea manager looks to put his style into things at the San Siro.
Reportedly, a meeting was held in China where the club’s ownership and sports authorities discussed the club’s transfer aspirations. While the likes of Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan are being pushed towards the exit door, the same can also be said of Ivan Perisic.
The likes of Joao Miranda, Dalbert and Joao Maria have been linked with a move to Monaco according to Tuttosport. However, it appears that the club is also keen on bringing Ivan Perisic to the Principality.
The 30 year old apparently doesn’t fit the tactical plans of Antonio Conte which is why the manager is willing to allow the Croatian international to leave.
However, although the player is also keen on leaving this summer, it appears that Monaco will struggle to meet the Italian club’s financial requirements.
Inter want at least 40 million Euros for Ivan Perisic which is the sort of transfer fee the club would find very hard to pay.
And though Monaco don’t have a lot of financial issues to worry about for now, the fact that the club isn’t playing in Europe next season makes things complicated. The club doesn’t want to go for a spending spree after seeing how bad things can get given Marseille’s current predicament.
Moreover, the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal are also keen on signing Ivan Perisic. The two clubs can easily meet the player’s financial requirements while also offering European football. This could result in a potential move not happening.
