Atletico forward Alvaro Morata has taken time out to send a message to the club’s Alevin B (under-12) striker, Brayan de la Cruz.
Morata took to his free time in this period to reach out to one of the club’s growing prospects.
Brayan de la Cruz is still only emerging at the club’s academy but is already making an impression for himself.
The under-12 striker has reportedly done so well for the club’s academy, with talk of his talent and hard-work even travelling to the first team-players.
The youngster has shown maturity beyond his age and is already touted as the heir to the Los Rojiblancos striker role.
Atletico Madrid have a good reputation of producing top forwards and Brayan could yet be the next emerging superstar in years to come.
To offer some motivation, Morata took time to the send the kid a message, acknowledging his effort and telling him not to relent.
Morata admitted he was surprised by the work-rate Brayan was putting in, while also answering some questions about what it was like to play for the first team.
Asides, his talent, Morata also advised the young forward to try and be a better teammate and person in general.
Atletico Madrid posted the clip of the conversation on their Twitter account this afternoon, with the caption ‘from striker to striker’.
So far this season, Morata has not been up to his ‘best’ but has managed to score eight La Liga goals, supplying one assist in the process.
