Morata might have other skills asides football as the striker predicted way back as November that Atletico were going to beat Liverpool in the UCL.
Morata might have predicted Liverpool’s early exit in the Champions League way back in November.
The defending champions suffered an upset as they went crashing out of the competition via a Simeone masterclass.
Atletico won both legs including a 3-2 victory at Anfield that left Liverpool shocked and stunned.
Morata played his part in the Red’s exit, scoring a goal in extra time that all but sealed the game.
It would appear the Spaniard had extra motivation to win that clash, after predicting specifically that Atletico could win the tie.
Back in November, Morata was asked if Liverpool would reach the final of the Champions League for the third year in a row, which caused the Spaniard to give his prediction.
” Liverpool may play against Atletico and may not reach the Champions League final,” Morata told COPE in November as h/t by Marca.
“You never know.
“This is football; every team has their methods and we play our football.”
It would turn out Atleticos’s methods worked and Morata was instrumental to all of it too.
Perhaps the Spaniard should predict his side winning this year’s Champions League.
