Retired Chile and Real Madrid striker Ivan Zamorano has backed James Rodriguez to shine wherever he goes so long as he is playing.
The general consensus is that James Rodriguez has not become a bad player since he arrived at Real Madrid. Nor was he a bad player during his time at Bayern Munich on loan.
The difference between the James Rodriguez that we knew and loved at FC Porto, AS Monaco or who represents Colombia on international duty, is the fact he played a lot of football.
Retired Real Madrid forward Zamorano has a similar belief and is backing the out of favor goal scorer.
He believes that Rodriguez can play anywhere in the world, but to see the very best of the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner he must be playing regularly.
Speaking to Caracol Radio’s El Alarque he said:
“He’s very talented, I think he can play anywhere in the world if he wants to.”
“He has shown he can be useful in European football, but he hasn’t had the chances he needed or wanted this season.”
“He has to keep fighting, trying and striving to be the best he can be.”
“At some point, he’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate his ability. If it’s not at Real Madrid, it’ll be with another team.”
“He’s a European-level player and I’m sure he’ll continue his career there.”
So the big question is, where will James Rodriguez end up?
