Jose Mourinho has insisted that Christian Eriksen will play against Watford tomorrow.
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has refuted the rumors suggesting that Christian Eriksen’s move to Inter is on its final stages saying that the club is yet to receive any offers for the midfielder.
Eriksen has had a long history of being unsettled in London. He has been putting off a contract extension claiming that he wants to pursue a new challenge.
Earlier, Christian Eriksen was reported to be on the brink of joining Inter after having agreed to the personal terms.
But Jose Mourinho has denied any such reports. Speaking to the reporters ahead of the match against Watford, Mourinho said that he was planning to include Eriksen in his squad.
“If they [Inter] are confident it’s because they are ready to make an offer. Which didn’t happen yet,” Mourinho said as per Daily Mail.
“Christian is trying his best. It is normal that until January 31 his brain is not totally focused. It’s a normal consequence of the situation.
“I still don’t understand the optimism. For a few months, people are speaking about how he’s going to be playing his last match for the club and the situation doesn’t change. Eriksen plays tomorrow. He is selected for the game.”
