Mourinho: Diogo Dalot will have to wait for Premier League bow

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has informed Diogo Dalot that he will not be making his Premier League debut this weekend

The teenage right-back made his first start for United in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Swiss side BSC Young Boys in the Champions League.

Dalot’s strong performances earned him praise from teammate Paul Pogba.

But Mourinho will not rush the 19-year-old while he adapts to English football.

“I want him in this process of adaptation to play totally fresh, so he’s not playing [against Wolves], he plays Tuesday [against Derby in the Carabao Cup],” Mourinho told a news conference on Friday.

Demi Mitchell, Manchester United, Premier League

It’s been a long time: Demi Mitchell

Manchester United defender Demi Mitchell is back to training after his injury and he's aiming at returning to full fitness to be able to play.

“To play for Manchester United is difficult enough for a kid of 19 years old, coming from another country and after an important injury and surgery. He doesn’t need to face more difficulties.

“He has recovered totally and Tuesday he plays again but he showed for the ones that don’t know him very, very well he is not a player to be here just on a formation, he is a player to be here for positions. He’s a very good player.”

Marcus Rashford and Nemanja Matic are suspended this weekend for United with Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo still absent through injury.

The Red Devils are looking to make it four wins in a row against Wolves.
