Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has hit back at comments made by Frank de Boer over Marcus Rashford and claimed that the Dutchman is the “worst manager in the history of the Premier League”
After Rashford’s brace in United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday, De Boer was full of praise for the young forward. But the former Crystal Palace manager criticized the way he was being handled by Mourinho, which prompted an angry response from the Portuguese coach.
“I read some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank de Boer – seven matches, seven defeats, zero goals,” said Mourinho, according to Sky Sports.
“He was saying that it is not good for Marcus Rashford to have a coach like me, because the most important thing for me is to win.
“If he was coached by Frank, he would learn how to lose because he lost every game.”
De Boer was recruited by Palace, last summer, but was dismissed after losing his first five competitive matches at the club.
