According to former Tottenham Hotspurs player Jermaine Jenas, the relationship between Jose Mourinho and Dele Alli is to the point he wants the player out.
Dele Alli has not even been in the matchday squad for Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham side for the last two games.
It remains to be seen if the England international will be recalled for the North London Derby.
When Jose Mourinho arrived, it appeared on the face of it that even though Alli was a staunch advocate for Pochettino the pair were getting along well.
Now though a struggling post-COVID-19 Spurs, you would think that Mourinho would need a player like Alli. However, there is no sign of the player and not even a mention of him in the manager’s match previews.
According to former Lillywhite Jermaine Jenas, in his opinion, the Portuguese is forcing the England winger out.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, he said:
“Dele, he’s struggled by the looks of it. That’s the key one I look at in terms of the way it’s gone.”
“If you think of the way he arrived, Jose, the smiles, the ‘have I been watching Dele’s brother’. All of a sudden Dele’s scoring goals and it’s all looking good.”
“Then, we’ve not seen Dele. We’ve not seen that Dele for weeks, months. I get the feeling that he will slowly edge him out from what I’m seeing.”
“That’s an indication of things going a little bit sour.”
Could the ruthless Mourinho use Alli as a fundraiser to bring in his own players to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
