Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is resigned to an almost impossible task of building a team capable of taking on Arsenal with several stars injured

The Portuguese is under immense pressure at the moment following Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Southampton, which leaves United only seventh in the Premier League.

Making matters worse for Mourinho is the loss of Ashley Young through suspension with both Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly doubts with injuries.

The defensive duo were sidelined at St Mary’s last weekend with midfielders Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay partnering Phil Jones at the centre of the United defence instead.

And to add to Mourinho’s woes, Romelu Lukaku and Luke Shaw were both withdrawn in the game with knocks and remain doubts for Wednesday.
