Harry Kane is ahead of schedule as he steps up from injury and could return earlier than expected, Mourinho has confirmed.

Harry Kane is recovering fine and could be back in action earlier than expected.

The 26-year-old sustained an injury in his side’s defeat to Southampton on New Year’s Day.

Initial reports suggested he could be out for the season and was even at doubt of missing the EUROS.

In a piece of good news for Spurs and England, Kane could be well ahead of his schedule.

Earlier this month, the England captain shared a video of himself stepping up from injury and working his legs.

And now, Mourinho has confirmed it is all going to plan for the 26-year-old.

On Friday, he said via BBC: “I would say he is a little bit ahead”

“It gives me a hope that instead of one or two matches, it’s three, four, five.”

While Kane could now be getting back to action, Mourinho also confirmed he is hopeful of similar fortunes for Son Heung-min who is on the sidelines as well.
