Nabil Fekir offered to Arsenal

With just a year left on his contract, Nabil Fekir has been offered to Arsenal for a bargain amount as Lyon look to ensure they get some profit.

Nabil Fekir was very close to joining Liverpool last summer. Sadly, the forward’s move collapsed at the last minute and he ended up staying in Lyon. However, despite such a heartbreak, the Frenchman continued performing brilliantly for the Ligue 1 giants and helped them to a Champions League berth for next season.

His former coach, Bruno Genesio also said that the player needs a new challenge.

“I think he was frustrated by the collapsed transfer to Liverpool at the start of the season. He has come at the end of his cycle in Lyon. He has lived many moments here. I think he needs a new challenge to push his limits and to be self-critical.”

Alexandre Lacazette, Matteo Guendouzi, Arsenal, Premier League

Lacazette backs Guendouzi for success

The France international striker considers Guendouzi like a "younger brother" and he believes he will do great things in the future.

However, with just one year left on his contract, Fekir is looking for a way out according to Daily Mirror. And while his price was a lot last summer, the winger is available for only 35 million Euros which is a bargain for a player of such quality.

With the Gunners operating on a shoestring budget, Nabil Fekir is still going to be a costly buy for them. Nonetheless, Unai Emery would definitely look to push the board to make an exception for the Frenchman.

While Nabil Fekir is still at Lyon, the same cannot be said of Tanguy Ndombele who has signed for Tottenham. And after seeing their bitter rivals go all out in the transfer market, Arsenal would be looking to do something similar. Sadly though, the club’s ownership isn’t willing to go big which means that the chances of them signing Nabil Fekir are pretty remote.

The player on the other hand, is also attracting interest from AC Milan so his future is likely to be settled soon.
