Nagelsmann hopes Leipzig can keep Werner

Timo Werner is one of Bayern Munich’s transfer targets, but the RB Leipzig manager is hopeful he will stay at the club.

Bayern Munich is said to want to acquire the services of RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.

But for Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann, the player is still part of the bulls and he is hopeful he will stay.

“Of course we want to keep him, he is an important, good player and in my head, he is my player,” he said according to Goal.

“He will know for himself what is most important for his career.”

“There’s nothing to say about this. He’s with us – we’ve been saying the same thing for weeks because that is the case,” Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche said.

Kovac says it will be unlikely to see Coutinho and Muller in the same...

According to the Bayern Munich coach, Niko Kovac, both players don't fit in the team's line-up at the same time so he doesn't think they will be featured together.

“There’s definitely going to be a decision in the coming days, Timo Werner and his advisor want that too.”

“That’s Timo’s decision, we did everything as a club and we gave him all the appreciation we can give as a club,” he commented.

“He’s a player in this squad, and we’ve seen today [vs Union Berlin] how much he can help us achieve our goals.”
