Napoli asks why can’t Real Madrid loan James Rodriguez

The Colombian midfielder spent two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid, but Los Blancos want the Partenopei to buy him if he’s leaving Madrid.

Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez spent two years on loan at German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

His loan spell is up and he has to return to Real Madrid, but he doesn’t seem to fit anywhere with Los Blancos.

Now Napoli wanted to acquire his services on loan, but Los Merengues will not loan him and will only sell him for €42 million.

Something which has frustrated the Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

“What I don’t understand is why can Bayern, who have three times the revenue of Napoli, take James Rodriguez on loan and we can’t?” he told Football Italia.

“I would like to see how he and Ancelotti dialogue along with the rest of the team before investing €42 million.”

Opinion: The walking paradox that is coach Maurizio Sarri

We need to go into a deep territory now with Manager Maurizio Sarri, he is becoming a walking paradox for the world of football. When...

“If James could arrive on loan, nobody would say no to that, because we could also purchase another forward who could guarantee 30 goals per season alongside Arkadiusz Milik,” he added.

“Otherwise, I have to think about someone else with an eye to the future.”

“It could be Pepe or someone else. He scores more goals than Hirving Lozano,” he commented.

“James is without a doubt a very talented player, but if you study his career path, he has never really delivered on that potential.”
