President Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that Napoli will be listening to offers for Kalidou Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz this summer.
The future of two of Napoli’s most prized assets, Kalidou Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz, has been up in the air for a long time now with a host of clubs all around Europe rumored to be taking interest in them.
Koulibaly further cemented his status as one of the finest defenders in world football with a string of outstanding performances yet again this season. Combine that with the fact that his current contract runs through to 2023, and it becomes clear why Napoli value him in the range of €80 million.
Ruiz has been another key figure for Gennaro Gattuso’s side this season. He too is tied to the club for three more years.
Acknowledging the rumors, president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently stated that Napoli won’t stand in either player’s way if an offer is made for them this summer, provided the offer is suitable.
“If City or United or PSG with €100m showed up, I would think about it. And it is probable that they would leave, always if their will was to leave,” De Laurentiis told Corriere Dello Sport.
“I don’t even consider an offer of €60 million.
“I’m solid, if I wanted to win the Scudetto at any cost today I would find myself with three, four hundred million debts. I look around and see companies at 500, 600 million, less a billion. I don’t owe anyone a sh*t.”
