The Italian Serie A club will face Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax in the Quarterfinals of the 2018-2019 UEFA Champions League season.
Italian Lega Serie A club Juventus had a fantastic second leg match against Spanish La Liga team Atletico Madrid, by outscoring them 3-2 on aggregate.
Thanks to three goals by Cristiano Ronaldo, the Bianconeri has qualified to the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals.
And today after the draw, Juventus is set to play against Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax, who also faced a miracle by beating Real Madrid 4-1 at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
“I can’t speak about the degree of difficulty, I’m neither happy or upset,” former footballer and Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved said to Gianluca Di Marzio.
“I believe these will be two beautiful matches, Ajax showed they could take out Real Madrid.”
“I liked them a lot and it won’t be easy to face then,” he added.
“Our players earned the right to play in two more Champions League matches, it’s great for them and the fans: we must face these two beautiful matches with enthusiasm.”
He also spoke about the possibility that Ronaldo might get suspended for his celebration against Atletico.
“I don’t fear any suspension, why should I?” he commented.
“It was a gesture that stayed on the pitch, the emotions of a game need to stay there.”
“He let it all out and he may have been insulted a lot in Madrid and by their fans at our house, I understand him and we move in. But I don’t think there will be any suspension,” he concluded.
The Bianconeri and Ajax will face off on April 10th in the first leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals, while the second leg will be played on April 16th.
