Neil Lennon has warned Arsenal that Kieran Tierney is not going to leave the club especially if his true valuation is not met.
Neil Lennon is in no mood to let go of his star full back and has said that Arsenal will find it very difficult to sign Tierney. The Gunners have been plotting a move for the young left-back all summer and have already seen two bids rejected by the Scottish giants.
And it is clear that the Londoners undervalue the young Scot. Speaking to media, Neil Lennon said that while he is aware of the situation he knows that Arsenal needs to come up with a realistic figure if they want to sign the player.
“I have taken no notice of the headlines,” Neil Lennon said according to The Daily Star. “I am well aware of where we are in terms of the situation.
“I spoke to Kieran in Austria and to be honest I haven’t really seen much of him because he came back early for rehab, so has not been on the training ground as yet.
“It can be an unsettling period for any player and that is understandable.
“But until a club comes up with any sort of realistic valuation of the player we don’t have to do anything and we won’t.
“It’s as you were. Kieran is getting on with his rehabilitation and we are getting on with what we have to do here.”
And if Arsenal do not move swiftly they will see Neil Lennon say his goodbyes to Kieran Tierney regardless. The youngster is also attracting a lot of interest from Napoli. Carlo Ancelott’s side is playing the Champions League next season and while Celtic are too, Tierney might prefer a move to Italy where he could be challenging for top honors while playing in a major league.
