The rumors linking any Wolves players with an exit have little substance in them and do not deserve attention, according to Ruben Neves.
With being a strong contender to attain a top-four Premier League finish and having one foot in the quarterfinals of the Europa League, Wolves have enjoyed an impressive season so far.
Leading from the front while being directly involved in 32 goals across all competitions, Jimenez, a club-record signing, has been in a phenomenal form this season.
Traore too, with four goals and seven assists in the Premier League, has been a key cog for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
Both men have naturally attracted unwanted attention. The Mexican is rumored to be on Manchester United’s summer wish-list. The former Barcelona academy graduate, meanwhile, is understood to be on Liverpool’s radar.
But Ruben Neves, who himself is a frequent name on the transfer gossip columns, asserts Wolves players pay little attention to the rumors.
“There has always been speculation since I’ve got here about our team,” Neves said in an interview with the Guardian.
“But we don’t think about it. We want to be together for as much time as we can but it’s football, the speculation will always be there.
“Our job is to play and leave this for the people who need to take care of it.”
