Gary Neville backs Manchester City to overturn the recent punishment and beat “hopeless” UEFA and their Financial Fair Play regulations.
Few are arguing that there has been a breach of the Financial Fair Play regulations that are in place.
But there are some who seem to think that UEFA’s case is a little weak and that the regulations are truly ineffective.
Neville a former Manchester United player and life long fan would probably like nothing more than to see the Blues punished.
However, in an interview with Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, he doesn’t see UEFA beating City in the long run.
“I think City will beat UEFA, I’ve got no faith in UEFA whatsoever.”
“They are a hopeless organization who just apply erratic disciplinary sanctions for different things.”
“I think it will get stuck in the courts for some time, but City will win in the end.”
“I’ve always felt FFP is the wrong way to apply the financial rules.”
“FFP is nonsense as far as I’m concerned.”
