Phil Neville has noticed that Jose Mourinho’s arrival has helped Dele Alli get back to his best.
Dele Alli scored twice in the match against Bournemouth that ensured all three points for Tottenham. The midfielder also netted one goal in Spurs’ 4-2 win against Olympiacos.
Manchester United legend Phil Neville feels Jose Mourinho’s appointment has done wonder for the English midfielder. Neville suggested that Dele Alli is slowly returning back to his best while talking about the 23-year old’s recent performances.
“He’s back to his best, I actually thought he was coming back to his best before Jose came in,” Neville said as per Football London.
“The two goals he scored are probably two goals he’s been scoring for the last three or four seasons.
“Today, this time the ball over the top is from Alderweireld again, spins in behind, great touch from Son, he sticks it in the back of the net, and just look at the movement here,” Phil Neville insisted.
“He comes short, spins in behind, perfect pass from Alderweireld, the first touch was great, the second and third touch even better, and the fourth touch was sublime.
“I thought he should have scored his hat-trick later in the game, Sissoko runs forward, again Dele Alli coming in from that left-hand side where he likes to play,” he continued.
“When it comes to him in this position here, composure, hit the target and that’s your match ball.
“He’s a sensational player, he is getting back to his best, and it’s no coincidence that Tottenham are playing well since his return to form,” Phil Neville declared.
