It is reported he has suffered a tearing in his calf.
The injury was sustained in the 36th minute of the opening game of the season against Norwich. The keeper appeared to slip while taking a goal kick.
It was thought at first to be just a minor strain. As he hobbled off the field, with the assistance of medical staff.
There are fears it could be worse than initially expected.

He is on the shortlist and favorite for the Champions League GoalKeeper of the season award.
Becker was the winner of last seasons Golden Glove award. A Premier League award for the most clean sheets in a season.
Medical staff at Liverpool’s Melwood facility have been closely monitoring his injury and making regular assessments.
The fear is any Achilles damage could extend his time out of the game. While any ruptured tendons could be season-ending.
As things stand, he is expected to be out until the end of September.
Klopp signed veteran Spanish goalkeeper, Adrian, from West Ham. After selling Simon Mignolet to Club Bruges for 6 million pounds.
While Klopp has openly given a vote of confidence for new back-up keeper Adrian. He will still want his number 1 back as soon as possible.
