According to manager Thomas Tuchel, Neymar is in good form and shape of mind as PSG aim to compete for three more trophies this season.
Neymar is ready to be influential for Les Parisiens as they enter what could be a season-defining period for the club.
In about a week from now, the French giants have yet another final to play. They face Lyon in the Coupe de la Ligue final before all focus and attention would switch to the Champions League return in August.
Ahead of their preparations for competitive football, Neymar has shown no signs of rustiness after lockdown.
PSG have played three friendlies since their return to action, scoring 20 goals and conceding none in the span of those games. The latest was their 4-0 cruise against Scottish champions Celtic on Tuesday.
Neymar has been in good form, scoring at least a goal in all of those games and putting a good shift altogether.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is glad to have the attacker in top form ahead of their all-important clashes.
“I’m not surprised. He came back in a good state of mind, in good shape,” Tuchel told a press conference as quoted by Goal.
“He adapts super quickly to all training sessions, he got up to speed very quickly.”
“It’s important for him to play as much as possible. He was given as many minutes of playing time as possible.”
“He will be on the field tomorrow. He’s in good shape, decisive, and that’s the best thing for us.”
Despite staying on the sidelines for a while, Neymar has proved to be crucial in attack for PSG this term, scoring 18 goals and chipping in with 10 assists in 22 total appearances.
