After edging for a move away from PSG, Neymar has returned to first team action for a bang which might stop supporters from jeering him.

Despite receiving a hostile reception from his own supporters and uncertainties about his physical condition, Neymar has been quick to showcase why he is considered one of the best in the world. The Brazilian marked his return to PSG with a goal against Strasbourg.

And in the recent game against title chasing Olympique Lyonnais, the Brazilian came with the goods again for Thomas Tuchel’s side. Neymar has proven that he remains a player apart. With Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and now Mauro Icardi in attack, Les Parisiens had already seemingly planned life without their star player.

However, it appears that Neymar hasn’t had his last say on things and it was he who made the difference for his team yet again. Like on so many occasions in the past, the former Barcelona man remains the decisive factor for his team.

Indeed the performance has not gone unnoticed with Ander Herrera not eager to talk about rumors surrounding his teammate’s future at the club.

“I’m happy to play with him, I’m not going to talk about his transfer window. Now, Neymar is with us, he’s a fantastic player who can win the Ballon d’Or this season, in a year or two years from now. We are very happy and I hope he can play like that all season,” said the former Manchester United man.

Indeed, Neymar’s return has definitely brought about a lot of calmness to things with Tuchel visibly happy to see the player stay at the club for at least another year. The German tactician had already confirmed that the star player was 100% committed to the cause.

All that remained to be seen was whether the player would showcase that on the field. And he did not disappoint one little bit. Neymar was hungrier than ever every time he got the ball and scored the goal that ensured PSG of another big win.

While winning the Ligue 1 title may not be the top priority, it is clear that giving Neymar a regular runout in the league would help him return to match fitness which would be important in the Champions League.

In all honesty, it was a great decision by whoever made it to ensure Neymar’s stay at Paris. Barcelona aren’t really going anywhere this season with the way they’ve played so far. PSG on the other hand, are eager to put the Champions League ghosts of yesteryears behind them.

And in order to make sure that they go further in the competition, they would definitely need Neymar in the squad.

While the club’s fans might not easily forget just how close their star player was to seal a controversial move, in time they might forgive him. And only through his performances will Neymar be able to redeem himself.

The way he has started the season definitely goes a long way in doing that!
