Neymar was determined to take his revenge at Haaland and planned to mimic his meditation celebration ahead of their Champions League second leg tie.
Neymar already had plans ahead to get his revenge at Haaland for a cringe celebration when PSG and Dortmund met in Germany.
Both teams were paired against each other in the Champions League, with the first leg taking place in Germany back in February.
Dortmund secured a victory, with Haaland scoring a brace and celebrating with a meditation pose in front of his own supporters.
He further infuriated Neymar and company by posting a picture on Instagram with the caption, “Paris my city, not yours”.
Neymar would get the last laugh when he inspired PSG to a second leg victory that saw PSG qualify with a 3-2 aggregate win.
The Brazilian scored in the encounter and rushed to Mbappe, before he took to the meditation pose as his own celebration.
After the game, Neymar still went ahead to lead the PSG squad to ‘mock’ Haaland by attempting a group pose with the meditation pose.
Marquinhos has now revealed his Brazilian teammate doesn’t like to be provoked and planned to have his revenge ahead.
“He likes that. Neymar is not just a football player, he is not afraid and always responds to provocations,” the 25-year-old said during an interview with YouTube channel Desimpedidos.
“After his goal, I asked him if he had taken everything out. He warned me, I told him to wait until the end of the match, but he told me to leave it and not to stop it.”
Neymar eventually took to his Instagram and made his own post with the caption “Paris is our city, not yours”
