It’s time to give you a proper update about N’Golo Kante’s impressive career, he’s completed four consecutive years winning major trophies last night.
N’Golo Kante’s career already is one of the most successful for a defensive midfielder, the Chelsea player won his fifth title of the last 4 years.
The French international keeps going through some very interesting “pinch me” moments in his life that he will happily tell his grandchildren about when he is old.
N’Golo’s impressive career started back in 2013 when he was playing for Caen, the Ligue 2 squad finished third and got the promotion to Ligue 1 before the summer of 2014.
On his second year at the club and already playing top-flight football, Kante helped his squad maintain the category and he immediately started getting attention from many clubs throughout Europe.
It was Leicester City talent scout Steve Walsh who spotted the midfielder first, he brought the player to the Foxes and helped them win the Premier League on this very first season.
Since the summer of 2016, Kante has escalated positions in professional football like no other player has in modern times.
We can say that N’Golo is considered a late bloomer because he only started shining properly until he was 24 years old.
After only one year at the elite level, the midfielder was signed by Chelsea due to Antonio Conte’s request.

Early success at Chelsea and the World Cup dream.
It took N’Golo Kante only a year to find success at Chelsea after getting transferred from Leicester City.
Although Eden Hazard was a standout performer in the Premier League that season, Kante was the one who received the PFA Players’ Player of the Year Award after winning the 2016-17 Premier League title.
That’s two years in a row winning major trophies at the highest level, Kante also clinched the FA Cup during that season with the Blues.
However, the best was yet to come in 2018. N’Golo Kante was named to represent his country in the World Cup played in Russia, France wasn’t considered a title contender but still a strong side in the competition.
Didier Deschamps quickly saw Kante’s essential role within the squad and he immediately placed him as the defacto defensive midfielder.
This decision was basically what won France the World Cup, Kante proved his worth specifically against Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
France defeated the Argentines thanks to a Kylian Mbappe double but a special performance from Kante, his marking against Messi became legendary ever since through quite the catchy song.
The trophy awaited N’Golo after helping beat Croatia in the final. After this level of success, the midfielder didn’t expect what was coming his way.

A touch semester under Maurizio Sarri.
N’Golo Kante was requested by manager Antonio Conte to reinforce Chelsea back in 2016, the Italian manager was sacked in 2018 after a disastrous second season.
The French player trusted his position was safe inside the squad but a new obstacle would test his strength of character once again.
New manager Maurizio Sarri came with a bag filled with ideas on how to implement this new style in the squad.
In order to make the team play as he wanted, the Italian coach brought Jorginho to play Kante’s position and this directly affected the Frenchman.
However, the gaffer saw potential in Kante and he decided to leave him on the starting XI as a right-winger.
Although it took a few months to get a perfect grasp on his new role, N’Golo proved that he was also essential regardless of his position and he ultimately remained in the role.
The end of this season brought another surprise to Kante, as he was part of the squad that won the Europa League last Wednesday and thus allowing him to continue writing his incredible story in professional football.
We have a feeling that the French midfielder still has a couple more success stories up his sleeve.
