Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac challenged his players to win all four of their remaining games to secure the Bundesliga title.
Currently, the Bavarians hold a slender one-point lead over Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table heading into the final four games of the season.
Bayern are on a hot patch of form right now, with 16 victories in their last 18 league fixtures. And they will be looking to keep it up away to Nuremberg on Sunday evening as they pursue a seventh Bundesliga crown in a row.
Meanwhile, Dortmund will host Schalke 04 at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday. Thus, Lucien Favre’s side will, temporarily at least, go top if they win.
But, for Kovac, it’s more important that Bayern focus on taking maximum points from all of their remaining games to wrap up the title.
“It’s a close fight. It’s interesting for the fans. We would like to have more of a lead,” said Kovac, according to AS.
“We’re going off the assumption that we need four victories, and if we do that we don’t have to look at anyone else.
“We want to win all of our matches and focus on ourselves. I won’t watch the Dortmund game against Schalke because we don’t have to play against either of them.
“I’m only looking at RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover as they are the next opponents.”
He added: “I don’t underestimate any opponent.
“Everyone expects a win against Nürnberg and of course we want to win, but it won’t be an easy match.
“Franck Ribéry is getting better but isn’t at 100 per cent yet. Manuel Neuer is also on his way back. We have to see who is physically 100 per cent fit to play.”
Bayern also have a DFB-Pokal Cup final coming up against RB Leipzig on May 25 at Berlin.
