Ansu Fati will not seek a loan move away from Barcelona to gain playing time and experience.

Only 24 hours ago 17-year-old Ansu Fati put pen to paper on a new deal at Barcelona.

Fati who broke into Ernesto Valverde’s first team this season has had a standout year so far.

However, many of those appearances were aided by the fact there was a mini injury crisis at the club.

Now that everyone is fit again, he may struggle for playing time and find himself warming the bench.

La Masia director Patrick Klivert has even insinuated that a recall to the Barca B team may be on the cards to ensure plenty of playing time.

Whatever the route decided, it will be at Barcelona and nowhere else.

That is according to his father.

In an interview with Cope, Fati’s father insists his boy will stay and gain experience with the very best.

That means Barcelona and Barcelona only, no loan.

He said:

“Why would he leave on loan?”

“He is young, he has to be learning with the best.”

“He knows he is still young. He is grounded with his head up and feet on the ground.”

“What more can a father ask for from someone with who is 17 years old.”

” He is training with the best. He has made his dream come true.”
