Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac insists that there have been no further developments in defender Jerome Boateng’s future, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain

The German club’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has recently confirmed that Boateng’s representatives have begun negotiations with PSG over a transfer this summer following comments that the centre-back had made earlier this year by suggesting that he is keen to play in another league before the end of his playing days.

Following Bayern’s 1-0 friendly win over Manchester United at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Kovac revealed that there is no more news to share over Boateng.

“Regarding Jerome, there’s nothing new,” said Kovac, according to BeSoccer.

“Jerome has played a really good match when he came in.

“I am happy about him being with us again. Not only him but also the others.”

Boateng is currently contracted at Bayern for another three years.

Bayern will begin the defence of their Bundesliga crown against Hoffenheim on August 24, after facing Kovac’s former club Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Super Cup next Sunday.
