Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly unhappy at his manager Maurizio Sarri for substituting him during the Champions League game against Lokomotiv Moscow.
Apparently nobody gave Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri the memo that you never substitute Cristiano Ronaldo.
It was clear for everyone to see from the player’s reaction that he was not impressed with his manager’s decision.
Sarri confirmed that CR7 was not happy, but defended his position in the post-match press conference.
According to Sky Sports Italia Sarri had this to say:
“He was angry because he wasn’t very well, for a few days he has a little knee disorder that leads to adductor fatigue.”
While the result of the substitution appears to have been a masterstroke on Sarri’s part, Ronaldo may need some convincing.
