Martin Odegaard insists he is very happy at Real Sociedad and wants to stay for the duration of his two-year loan spell, rather than return to Real Madrid.
Odegaard has impressed for Real Sociedad this season and is still hopeful the club can win the Copa del Rey as well as qualify for the Champions League.
The youngster still has two years left on his loan contract but there have been rumors Madrid might ask him to return in the summer.
The Norwegian had a dream moment when he helped his side knock out parent club Real Madrid and has insisted he is happy where he is at the moment.
Odegaard has been one of the shining lights for Real Sociedad, scoring four goals and notching five assists so far this season.
Despite all the prospects of an early return to Madrid, Odegaard says he is focused on Sociedad and wants to do the best he can for the club.
“When people ask if I will be here to play in the Champions League, I always say that I’m very happy here and that the plan is to play for La Real for two years,” the 21-year-old told El Diairo Vasco .
“Two things make me very excited, as we want to win the Copa del Rey and qualify for the Champions League.”
Odegaard is still very highly rated at Real Madrid and would be returning to the club as a proper player with experience at the end of his loan contract.
