Martin Odegaard has been firing on all cylinders since the beginning of this La Liga campaign. The Norway international penned down a 2-year loan deal with Real Sociedad last summer and has not looked back since.
The 20-year old, who is currently loaned out to Real Sociedad, is enjoying every single minute of football with his new club.
“I am in contact with Real Madrid, as sometimes they write to me to tell me how they see me,” he commented.
“They have congratulated me and praised my good start in the league.”
“They have told me that they are happy with how I’m doing.”
Despite the interest from his parent club, the Norwegian is in no hurry to return and wants to play for the Basque club until his contract runs out.
“The idea is to respect it [the loan deal],” Odegaard said.
“I am happy at the team, and so I want to continue here until my two years end.”
After spending a couple of loan spells abroad, Odegaard seems to have finally found his feet in his new club. He has been a revelation since his return to Spain. The Norwegian is playing a substantial role for Real Sociedad in the Spanish league.

Martin Odegaard has scored twice in this campaign. He has also created goals two times for his teammates to help secure 5th position for Real Sociedad. Odegaard was rewarded with La Liga’s Player of the Month for September for his brilliant display.
Real Madrid had to battle several other European clubs to sign the Norwegian back in 2015. Since then, Odegaard has played only twice in Real Madrid’s first team colors.
