Martin Odegaard will not celebrate against his parent club Real Madrid if he scores or his Real Sociedad side win.
The Norwegian international is on a two-year loan at Sociedad from Madrid.
The purpose of the deal is to get him as much playing time as possible, as he has struggled to break into the first team at the Santiago Bernabeau.
He joined Los Blancos at the age of 15 and has spent much of his time farmed out to various clubs on loan.
Now at the age of 20, he will be hoping when he returns in 2021, he will be deemed ready to start his career at Real Madrid properly.
While he always plays to win, and score goals he hopes that Madrid can go on to win La Liga this season.
Although he will be doing his best to perform well and do his job this Saturday, he will reframe from celebrating if he does do one over on his owners.
In an interview reported by Football Espana, he insists he will be respectful.
“I would like Real Madrid to win La Liga this year.”
“If I score this Saturday at the Bernabéu against Madrid I will not celebrate it.”
“Nor will I celebrate if I score against Real Sociedad in the future.”
