It is understood that Real Madrid wants Alvaro Odriozola to stay at the club and be part of the first team set up in the 2020/21 season.
Alvaro Odriozola arrived at Real Madrid back in the summer of 2018. After 18 months of struggling to establish himself, he was loaned out to Bayern Munich.
While he has only featured four times in the Bundesliga and once in the Champions League for the Bavarian giants. It’s probably five more opportunities than he would have got at the Santiago Bernabeu.
With Los Blancos selling Achraf Hakimi, they are a little short of prodigious talent in the right-back position. Hakimi was never going to return to Madrid to play second fiddle to anyone, and for that reason had to be sold.
However, according to Spanish outlet AS, Odriozola has shown enough to Zinedine Zidane in his time out on loan to warrant a chance at deputizing for Carvajal this coming season.
The young defender would be glad to get a second chance to wear the Madrid shirt once more.
The 24-year-old defender grabbed the headlines this past week with his assist to Robert Lewandowski in Bayern Munich’s thrashing of Chelsea.
