OFFICIAL: Barca and Sevilla agree Aleix Vidal deal


Barcelona have announced that they have reached an agreement with Sevilla for the transfer of Aleix Vidal.

Barcelona and Sevilla are have confirmed the transfer of Aleix Vidal to his former club Sevilla. After weeks of negotiations, Vidal will finally head back to Seville.

According to Sky Sports, Sevilla will pay €8.5m (£7.75m), plus €2m (£1.78m) in variables, to re-sign the player they sold to Barca in 2015.

Both Barcelona and Sevilla have been interested in finalising the deal as soon as possible. Barcelona need funds to strengthen other areas of their squad while Sevilla want to wrap up their transfer business this week. Joaquin Correa having moved to Lazio, allowed the deal for Vidal to move forward.

Aleix Vidal, a versatile who could play in the right-back and right-wing position, signed for Barca in 2015, he made 30 appearances and scored 3 goals.

He left Barcelona’s training camp in the USA yesterday to finalise the deal.
