Former Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo has officially joined Barcelona on loan from Valencia with €25m option to buy.
Barcelona will pay an initial €2m to loan Jeison Murillo from Valencia for six months and possess a €25m option to sign him permanently. The announcement came from both Spanish clubs this evening but had been speculation for several days.
The Colombian international has only managed to play a game for Los Che since arriving at the Mestalla in 2017 after suffering a number of injury problems over the past 12 months.
According to reports from Football Italia, Murillo underwent a medical and will move on loan until June 2019 for a reported €2m fee.

It’s a remarkable career path for the 26-year-old Colombia international, as Inter sold him to Valencia in August for just €12m.
Murillo has formerly played for Cadiz, Las Palmas, Granada and Inter before his switch to Valencia last year.
Persistent injuries to Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen this season have forced Barca to act, with Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet the only fit central defenders.
