The Real Madrid defender will spend second half of the 2019/20 campaign at the Allianz Arena, linking up with Hans-Dieter Flick.
Bayern Munich has secured the services of Alvaro Odriozola on loan until the end of the season. The four-time capped Spain international has been out of favor with Zinedine Zidane, with the move to Bavaria a welcome news.
Odriozola completed his medical in Munich on Tuesday and the move was announced in the early hours of Wednesday, January 22.
The Basque star last appeared for Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League final group stage fixture against Club Brugge.
After impressing with Real Sociedad, Alvaro Odriozola was supposed to shine at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, the 24-year-old failed to dislodge Dani Carvajal in the Real Madrid starting line-up.
In his first season in the Spanish capital, Odriozola only made 22 appearances and the current season has not seen an improvement in his fortunes. The San Sebastian born footballer has only made five appearances, earning a paltry 434 minutes on the pitch.
