Barcelona and Real Madrid had their El Clasico postponed due to protest all over Barcelona on the originally scheduled date, October 26.
The Spanish Football Federation ran into a lot of obstacles in postponing El Clasico to their desired date.
The main one was La Liga, who wanted the duel to be played on December 4.
Copa del Rey is scheduled on December 18 – the date that RFEF wanted – making this inconvenient date for La Liga.
Javier Tebas sprung out heavy criticism toward RFEF.
However, RFEF officially scheduled El Clasico for December 18.
Barcelona published the confirmation on their official website.
