Colombian footballer James Rodriguez will be out for at least one match and no deadline has been set for his return to Real Madrid.
After missing all the Real Madrid pre-season matches, Colombian footballer James Rodriguez was included in the starting line-up for Real Madrid last Saturday.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium against Valladolid.
But the Colombian footballer was substituted early in the second half after coach Zinedine Zidane saw him playing with discomfort.
“After the tests carried out today on our player James Rodriguez by the Real Madrid Medical Services he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the right calf,” a Real Madrid statement read.
“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
The player was expected to leave during the summer, but in the end, Zidane said he will keep him for the rest of the season.
