Juventus have announced that Paulo Dybala has finally tested negative for COVID-19 and been given the green light to leave isolation.
Paulo Dybala and his girlfriend were diagnosed early on with coronavirus. The pair were put in quarantine and apparently were doing much better in a matter of days.
However, the pair up until now had not returned a negative test result. This meant that the Argentine forward has had to remain in isolation.
With Italian sides all set to resume training at their respective facilities, question marks were still hanging over Dybala’s position.
Juventus though have just announced that the player finally returned a negative test, which means he can progress forward with the rest of his teammates.
The club’s statement said:
“Paulo Dybala performed, as per protocol, a double check with diagnostic tests (swabs) for Coronavirus-Covid 19, which came back with negative results.”
“The player has, therefore, recovered and will no longer be subjected to the home isolation regime.”
The news will be welcomed more than anyone by Bianconeri boss Maurizio Sarri. He will certainly want all his best assets fully fit in the final push for both the Scudetto and the Champions League.
