Swansea City’s Roque Mesa has completed his transfer to Sevilla and signed a three-year contract for the start of next season
The Spanish midfielder spent the latter part of last season on loan at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and has now made his stay at the club a permanent one after failing to make his mark in the Premier League.
Mesa completed his medical earlier this week and has now officially completed his transfer.
The 29-year-old becomes new head coach Pablo Machín’s first signing since arriving from fellow La Liga side Girona at the end of last season.
“Sevilla FC and Swansea City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Roque Mesa to the Nervionenses. The player passed his medical this Wednesday and has signed for the next three years,” read a statement on Sevilla’s official website.
