Paris Saint-Germain has announced that three players and a member of the coaching staff have tested positive for COVID-19.
They are preparing for the French Cup final and the resumption of the Champions League.
However, it appears in the first round of tests as they try and get back to business as normal have yielded some very unwanted results.
The Parisian giants announced four cases in their group, three of which are players.
The club’s official statement said:
“The PCR and serological screening tests carried out yesterday, before the resumption of the activities of the professional group, with players and staff of Paris Saint-Germain showed 4 previous cases.”
“These individuals had exhibited symptoms during the confinement period when they were not in contact with each other.”
“They are no longer contagious and will resume their training program.”
“Since today and until tomorrow, the players have started their medical and physical tests.”
“The resumption of activities at the Ooredoo training center is planned for this Thursday by small groups of players as provided by the medical and health protocol from Paris Saint-Germain.”
