Real Sociedad have sacked manager Asier Garitano after suffering four defeats in a row
Last Friday’s 1-0 home loss to Deportivo Alaves sent La Real down to 15th-place in La Liga and just four points above the relegation zone.
Therefore, Los Txuri-Urdin have decided to release Garitano after just seven months in charge at Anoeta.
Sociedad thanked Garitano “for all the contribution, professionalism and dedication he has shown during the exercise of his duties in the management of the first team, while wishing him the best for his professional and personal future”
The club announced then on their website that former coach Imanol Alguacil has been brought in to replace the fired Garitano from Sanse.
La Real will next take on Real Madrid away in La Liga on January 6.
